Welcome to AusMilitary.com

AusMilitary.com is Australia's biggest military discussion forum. Originally formed back in 2004 as AusSpecialForces.com as a forum for, by, and about the Australian Special Forces, the forum has since widened it's scope to include all members and branches of the ADF as well as our honoured guests and allies from overseas. Despite some sections being open to the public, the forum still enjoys the membership and advice of respected members of the Special Forces and Special Operations Forces both local and internationally, as well as those from elite specialities in the conventional forces. From recruit training right up to SF selection tips - if it's frank and honest advice you're after, you'll find it here.

There are two parts to this site: the Forums, and the Pages. The forums have been going strong since 2004, and continue to grow. They contain a sh*t-tin of information for aspiring, current serving, and old and bold alike. Come along and get stuck in. For those new to the forums, here are some of the most popular topics arranged by category:

Still can't find what you're looking for ? Give the search function a crack.

The second part of the site currently consists of a series of articles about the ADF, it's combat arms and special forces. These pages were written by a member with experience in special operations from both an academic and operational perspective. Some of them date back to around 2006 and so would be in need of an update, however they are informative, succint, and free of BS: required reading for aspiring and current ADF members alike:

Got some tips to add or looking to shoot the breeze with some like-minded individuals ?... Grab a brew and catch us in the the forums.

Brotherhood never was like it;
Friendship is not the word;
But deep in that body of marching men
The soul of a nation stirred.
