Highlight of the week.

August 1st, 2010 at 20:06

Getting to do that charity walk was an excellant highlight in my week here.

With good determination nearly 30 of my work mates and I participated, with the rest of our colleagues good naturedly supporting us. One of the guys who’d set himself a goal of raising $50, ended up raising over $700 for his efforts. He was pretty stoked as we all were, good on him.

Along the walk we also saw a banner up in support of one of the girls, made for her by her friend. It was a good team effort by everyone. A bit of sweating, hearts pumping, everyone completed the walk. My boss, who not only let us take time out to do the walk, but did it as well, also put on the best lunch for us afterwards. Everyone enjoyed themselves, so a really good day for all, and a great way to end the working week.

Cheers. :)
