Hi all, I was just wondering for those who've had to resit assessment days as they medical expires after one year, are your past medicals still used/ looked at for consistency with your new ones? I had previously reported I wheezed once after running in the past 12 months and was required to see a GP to follow up on it but physc dqed me for 12 months before I got to it. Thing Is I misreported it, when I saw my GP he showed me what a 'wheeze' actually was and it was not what I experienced, mine was simply laboured breathing as I was out of breath and low on stamina at the time. Im not sure if I should note this again on my medical history as I'm not sure if they use past medicals at all, but if they do id rather do the testing now and be cleared so my application is more up to date when the time comes. Thanks.

Regardless of if they do or not, if they cross reference it or they don't, you've covered yourself by seeing the doc and getting clarification, so fill out your questionnaire accurately and deal with any fallout if it occurs.

AusMilitary.com is Australia's leading military discussion forum. Originally formed back in 2004 as AusSpecialForces.com as a forum for, by, and about the Australian Special Forces, the forum has since widened it's scope to include all members and branches of the ADF as well as our honoured guests and allies from overseas. Despite some sections being open to the public, the forum still enjoys the membership and advice of respected members of the Special Forces and Special Operations Forces both local and international, as well as those from elite specialities in the conventional forces. From recruit training right up to SF selection tips - if it's frank and honest advice you're after, you'll find it here.
