Hi everyone,

Just a quick note to advise that there is a careers information evening, happening on 14 April at the Kedron Wavell Services Club (Community Room) in Brisbane. I'm not from a military background myself, but I did think this may be of interest to members on this forum.

The event is put on by Bechtel, who are an international company, specialising in engineering, construction and project management. I work for them, and it's a really good place to call home.

Bechtel is interested in ex-defence personnel, as we have a number of people working for the company that are from defence backgrounds (both Aussie and US).

You can register to attend the night at http://www.bechtel.com/bnereg. The information session will provide more information on the company, cover off on the jobs available, and we'll have stories from staff who have made the transition from ex-defence to Bechtel, and how they did it.

Employee benefits at Bechtel include competitive salaries, a 9 day fortnight, paid healthcare for staff and their families, and opportunities to work on large projects around the world.
