If anyone out there has any military related tattoos or seen some good ones around, I'd love to see some pics.

There's always the rising sun, para wings, service number, blood group (yes people do get them, why? I have no idea), RAR logo, etc. You'll also find plenty of southern cross tattoos, though that's not really military related.

People get their blood group tattoed because apparently dog tags are marked incorrectly in an unacceptably high (ie greater than zero percent) number of cases.

Johnno is refering to the fact that medics will pay little if any attention to tattoo's should the need arise for a blood tranfusion etc. Normally OPOS is administered. I am sure Starlight can elaborate ont he specifics.
Why would you wear dodgy dog tags if that were the case? Anyone who answers "because I was ordered to" or a similar answer, is a numpty.

That surprises me, tattoo's are fairly common in society and people often attach meaning to all kinds of symbols for all kinds of wacky reasons.
