So, that last little "blip" was us completely changing hosting providers. Gee, that was easy. *ahem*.
Yahoo.com is still piss-assing us about with accepting outgoing traffic from our new mail egress interface, so, anyone with a yahoo adress.. why.. are you with yahoo. . Should be fixed up soon, am following it up with the chief of rocket surgery up that way at any rate.

There is now a new profile field, "Military Background", with the description for the field is follows:

"Enough to give a heads up as to where and with whom you have served. Optional field."

Enter as much or as little as you want. The aim here is just about about giving half a head's up about where you're coming from.

The field can be updated by clicking "User Control Panel" then "Profile", and shows up in your profile and in your avatar box in each post.

Obviously this field is open only to those who have served. Enter any shit into this field which is either false or just plain hopeful and you will have waves of discomfort and general disconsolation visited on your soon to be banned ass quicker than you can say oh crap I'm bann...

Anyone going to the search page will now see that we now have our own site-specific Google Search box. So you now have the option of using strong Google-fu to search within the site, or just use the standard board-specific search as per before.

I've got the best results out of selecting search for threads, rather than search for posts, it cuts down the results and if the thread has a good title, you'll probably find what you're looking for.

Speaking of Searchey J. Mc Searchingy-Searchest III, I have placed his likeness at the top and bottom of the topicview templates. Am thinking of putting them in other places as well. Suggestions as to where ?

Make it twice as big and give it a set of flashing lights, maybe a siren.
