The board just forced me to change my password, why?

I have no idea what is going on, but I'm thinking about hitting up someone in sig platoon for a set of codes so I can set a 25 trigram pass word that will pass muster.

Sorry all, yeah I had to adjust the settings this morning before heading out for the day. Yep Terrapin's got it in one - there's been a mass brute-force attack on a bunch of accounts, resulting in some being automatically locked out. Until I work out the appropriate way to block these attacks without black-listing valid IPs, I've had to respond by enforcing a higher password complexity, and password aging (60 days) as well.

It's altogether possible that this will now result in a deluge of "I can't access my account" emails... We shall see.
