At 0900hrs, Monday 06Apr, I was employed in a dream role that I’d spent 7yrs waiting, scheming, networking and sacrificing goats for, back in the mining industry living in a cute little bungalow by the beach in Mackay.

By 1600hrs that afternoon, I was unemployed, had broken my lease and rolling back into Brisbane with all my worldly possessions.

I was sorely (no lube, geddit?) reminded of that meme:
