Hi

I would like to say thanks to all of the people on here who have given great advice about joining and then life in the army, I am enlisting on Monday and I don't doubt that some of the information on here helped.

Thanks

Congrats on the position of EWOP.

I joined in 91 and discharged in 99 as ECN 273 Opsig now EWOP . Tough IET course back then 56 weeks I think was the longest IET course in the ARMY. Great memories.

I am now reenlisting and currently filling out the forms for RMC.

Good luck mate its a tight knit group of people the EW community.

G'day Fellas, thought i should say hi. I've trawled through these forums the past few months through my recruiting process and like most of the other blokes on here have stated the information on this site has been immensely helpful, honest and good for a chuckle. [:D

Im 23 and have applied in November last year as 1.Firey ARA 2. Combat eng 3. RAAF Firey.
After passing Assessment day/medical,PFA and additional testing.

Due to no roles going for these positions and information provided on this site i took an offer of EWOP, i passed the language aptitude test and upon completion of psych and re-assesment on friday shall be enlisting on the 17th of June. :partyman:

Cheers fellas keep up the good work!

Mate I feel for you, you left right at the best 15 years of the ADF. I hope you get a trip up.

Too true I Scored Bougainville, was the first to get there and was due for Timor but pulled the pin as I was being posted as an Instructor and wasn't keen on a desk job. Plus I wanted to do some IT study at the time.

AusMilitary.com is Australia's leading military discussion forum. Originally formed back in 2004 as AusSpecialForces.com as a forum for, by, and about the Australian Special Forces, the forum has since widened it's scope to include all members and branches of the ADF as well as our honoured guests and allies from overseas. Despite some sections being open to the public, the forum still enjoys the membership and advice of respected members of the Special Forces and Special Operations Forces both local and international, as well as those from elite specialities in the conventional forces. From recruit training right up to SF selection tips - if it's frank and honest advice you're after, you'll find it here.
