Team,

Due to unfortunate circumstances with the industry that my current place of employment works in, I’m looking around for other options.

Short version:
Degree in Applied Science, majoring in Food Science and Technology. Topics covered are engineering, microbiology, chemistry and a smattering of of round-out subjects for management.
Professional Experience in Product Development, Quality Assurance and Process Control in Food and other manufacturing.
Experience as Gas Drainage Officer and Ventilation Coordinator in underground coal mining.

In short, I’m a technical boy with contract management experience in high stress environments, able to comply with legislative, safety and budgetary requirements

I’m currently or will be talking to the all the recruiters I can think of.
At this point in time, I’m looking for any industry that can utilise my skills in Central and North Queensland. I’m a firm believer that whilst the product and industry may change from job to job, the basic science remains the same. After all, life really is all about heat exchanges and chemical interactions. And people are people, no matter where one goes.
I’m willing to drive long distances to work for the right employer.

If you have any leads, links or suggestions (or even better – offers of employment) I can be reached via this loc, or via Linkedin.com. Full bragsheet (CV) with references can be supplied on request.

Thank you in advance for any help, suggestions or assistance you can provide.

In all seriousness, you should be able to pick something up with your experience and quals without too much drama.

Shouldn't, and I'm not anticipating too many transition problems, but it IS North Queensland mate.

I'm now waiting for the classic comment from some clown: "You're over qualified for what we want".

If you are prepared to relocate they are always on the lookout for people with Vent experience at Olympic Dam; might even get FIFO on 8/6.

I can give you a name; PM for details.

AusMilitary.com is Australia's leading military discussion forum. Originally formed back in 2004 as AusSpecialForces.com as a forum for, by, and about the Australian Special Forces, the forum has since widened it's scope to include all members and branches of the ADF as well as our honoured guests and allies from overseas. Despite some sections being open to the public, the forum still enjoys the membership and advice of respected members of the Special Forces and Special Operations Forces both local and international, as well as those from elite specialities in the conventional forces. From recruit training right up to SF selection tips - if it's frank and honest advice you're after, you'll find it here.
